That’s really unfortunate…

I just saw these interconnected advertising banners at CNET’s unofficial Microsoft Vista site. They are actually two different banners, but they act like they are one. Very clever! Steals the whole focus from the site — and makes you laugh! Click on the picture to see the video!

New term alert: “Interconnected Advertising”

I mean, how could an ad be any better? It steals the focus from the actual content. What more could be wanted? And pretty nice touch by Apple, to not let it start with enabled audio by default (if you visit the site, you see that you have to click play audio to hear them speak), so it wont distract you that much. That’s ok, because the GIVE UP will catch your attention anyway.

Update: New version online. Better quality this time!

Who art thy favourite geminians?

If you look at this list of famous geminis, you notice that there are a lot of actors among them. That’s great, but it don’t really connects with me. Where is that list of geminis who became famous by their design and aesthetic? There is none. So i thought, let’s build it. Leave your comment and add your favorite, if you got one.

I just found out, that the Djingis Khan of typography, Erik Spiekermann, is indeed a gemini as well! Now that should be worth something, and it is the most possible good start for such a list i can imagine.
