iPhone hype, but english please!

I’d like to convince a lot of people (my boss, my parents, my friends, etc) to try out the new iPhone. It would make life so much easier if more people around me would choose an iPhone (and hopefully — and this is my main point — buy a Mac as well after they got hooked on Apples simplicity).

If they would speak english, i would just leave ‘em alone with one of Steve Jobs keynotes, but most of my people simply do not speak english well enough to get it (“Boom!” just ain’t enough to cut their cheese).

Where, dear Apple, can i find a Keynote with German Subtitles?

Sure, the Germans (replace Germans with Italians or Dutch or etc if you like) have a little iPhone buzz going on as well, but this seems to be limited to those “few” who understand what an iPhone “can do”.

You are missing a huge opportunity here, Steve.

While i am at it: German syncronisation would be even better! And if you Cupertino folks won’t do it, i might have to do it myself :P

Nice idea, but Apple doesn’t work that way.

“Act locally, think globally” is what they’ve done with the iPhone (just look at the number of iPhones circulating outside the US of A already).

What they rely on is people like you and me that roll out the marketing machine for them: we suggest the iPhone to friends and colleagues, for free!

Don’t underestimate the word of mouth … a very powerfull thing ;)

    And: it fuckin’ works too!

Yet still, it requires quite a lot of energy from us, advocators, to spread the word. Maybe we should ask for some free iPhones for all the buzz we’ve created? :-P

But Apple could work that way. How much would it take to serv some lousy subtitles the day after the keynote? And besides that, i really wonder why no one already started doing so; keynote-subtitle(s/d).com

Do they really only rely on PLUs (people like us), or are they underestimating the “magic” of watching a keynote (while actually understanding what that charismatic bloke up there is talking about)?
