Thoughts about the Scientology church

An internal Scientology video, starring Tom Cruise, leaked to the internet and it seems that everybody talks about it, or gave it a thought or two. Some call Cruise crazy, some wish Scientology to hell. I don’t like Scientology either, but for me, it is just another religion. I don’t understand the hype.

Here is what i think about it

Scientology does all their their stuff behind closed doors. The Catholics do most of it in front of their closed doors. Not a big difference to me. Just different tactics.

Just another bunch of people, who try to bring their religious idea to the masses. At Scientology you give 10% of your income, at the Catholic Church, you can get rid of your sins by talking to one of their employees.

I don’t know which deal is more silly, and which one is more clever: Both gangs make a lot of money. A lot of money. One has the simple rule that you must drop 10% of your income (pretty easy to do the math here), one has a complicated network of rules for your lifestyle, which—in most ways—leads to drop money on them as well, in this way or in another.

Both business models work. But the catholic system sells better to the customer, because their money system is a psychological masterpiece: Designed with the clients unconscious actions in mind.

NOTE: I could have compared another religion with Scientology, this was just an example. You decide which system is worse. And you decide if you need one or not. You have the right to do that, you know? You can even shit in your cereals every morning, because you have the right to do this kind of stuff—just don’t hurt anybody. Let’s be friends.

Scientology, just another zoo of idiots
The Scientology logo would definitely look cool on the grill of a Bentley!
